Helen Baskerville-Dukes
Executive Director
On May 12, 2021 social media received the notification of my appointment as Executive Director (ED) here at the Mount Hope Community Center (MHCC), formerly the Mount Hope Neighborhood Association. The community has welcomed me with open arms and the outpouring of support is undeniably gratifying.
Directly in the middle of COVID-19, I jumped in and continued the great work that our former interim ED, Eugene Monteiro, was doing. From packing and delivering food to the most vulnerable, establishing our center as a COVID testing and popup vaccination site, WIC services and tax preparation, we kept our doors open to ensure our Mount Hope residents and surrounding communities would be served.
Now that we’ve finally emerged from this pandemic and regained some sort of normalcy, we are ready to offer programs and services that produce change.
We are RI / Mount Hope Seniors!
Welcome Back!
We are happy to welcome the Rhode Island / Mount Hope Seniors back to the center. After a long battle with COVID, our Seniors are back at it and in the groove of things. They’ve begun meeting every Monday from 11am - 1pm, planning trips, socializing, playing games and making every effort to continue the legacy of the beloved Mr. Danny Lopes by providing a safe, fun and social environment for the Seniors. For more info, email us contact@mhccri.org.
We need your help!
We are requesting Christmas Donations for families in need.
We are grateful for our supporters!
